I just cannot comprehend.

I can comprehend, not understand, but comprehend, the so-called "criminal mind." Those people who truely have no care or empathy for others.

I can comprehend good people, who try to to never harm anyone intentionally.

I can comprehend pretty good people, who when hurt, will lash out and cause hurt in return.

But what I cannot comprehend, what my mind just will not wrap around, are people who, while in most areas, are good people, yet will intentionally cause another person great pain over long periods of time. People that will do so publically. People that will do so when the other person is already in pain.

People that will argue over who gets what from the deceased estate during the memorial service. Or argue about what should happen, and who should be invited, to the deceased memorial service, when the deceased made their wishes known. Children who demand change to a pre-arranged memorial service because they don't "like" it, and threaten not to go unless they get their way.

Maybe it's better that I do not understand these things, but I wish that I could comprehend them.
